Michael possesses extensive public policy, strategic advisory, communications, government and community relations expertise, with over 25 years’ experience working across both the public and private sectors.
His roles in stakeholder engagement, community relations, strategic communications and infrastructure advisory within the private sector, for major companies such as Lend Lease and Deloitte, demonstrate the breadth of experience and capability that Michael brings to any project.
Michael has played integral roles in the planning, approval and delivery phases of infrastructure projects, including in rail, roads, water, energy, and ports, as well as pivotal roles in government public policy and regulatory reform projects, working in cross-disciplinary teams where communications, industry and stakeholder engagement are effectively integrated right throughout the project lifecycle.
Michael possesses a detailed knowledge of government processes and is well respected across senior levels of the public service. This expertise ensures that innovative solutions to complex public policy issues and stakeholder engagement initiatives are effectively implemented and result in government and client objectives being achieved.
Recently, for a period of eighteen months, Michael also played the role of General Manager of a not-for-profit charitable peak body organisation in the rare diseases field.
Michael enjoys spending time with his two children, sports, reading and fishing, and trying to contribute to making society a better place for all.
